There is an actual movement going on right now and believe it or not, it’s for real. This is no joke! It’s actually a movement consisting of people thinking this is the next “Christian Reformation!” Hard to believe, but true!
Bryan Johnson, a “biohacker” millionaire, recently went public, he is launching a NEW version of understanding salvation and eternal life. He claims this NEW movement concerns a NEW spiritual understanding built on “data pills,” with the “promise of eternal life without the inconvenience of God.” His portrayal of this NEW view of “spirituality” and it’s angle of approach, is so off the rails, you can’t help but to think this has to be some kind of joke, or satirical mock on religion and in particular, Christianity––but, sadly it isn’t!
For example, Mr. Johnson is advancing the idea, “death is optional.” He is so obsessed he actually tracks all his body functions, transfuses his son’s blood into his own veins and spends millions of dollars annually preserving the only thing he really cares about––which is, his empirical self! “His gospel is a glib command: Don’t die. His scriptures are biomarkers. His prayer is performance metrics.”
He’s announcing this NEW theology characterizes sin as a software bug, and suffering is a processing error while our “soul” is nothing more than data waiting to be backed up into the cloud! I know it sounds crazy, but there are individuals as well as some Christians, now being caught up by this NEW AGE “psycho-babble,” which is underscored by A. I. and it’s ability to help Christians “not gifted” in areas of spiritual guidance to be equipped, through the help of the A I software programs.
The more you begin to view this perspective with this kind of outlook, it becomes more insane than ever. Those in this movement try to maximize their insights by claiming death is a design flaw that needs debugging. Some of those followers actually wear glucose monitors to keep their sugar levels in check.
But, what’s so disturbing and upsetting is Christians are beginning to embrace this “psycho-babble” and are starting to adopt some of these behaviors, beliefs, and approaches! There is actually published papers, academic conferences and a theology designed to modify scripture to fit a worldview of these high-tech elites!! There are preachers, pastors, and panels at religious universities where discussions and debates take place as though they are constructing software––it’s just unbelievable!!
As an example of the theological modifications going on is for instances; grace is something earned through code, cryonics, and cognitive enhancement. Salvation is something that is engineered, not bestowed, and miracles––they are simply reinterpreted as prototypes for modern medicine––while converting water into wine is understood as gene-therapy! Everything considered sacred is now being redefined into something that is sterile and material; and for the long term, designed to separate you further away from God’s truth and His intents. It is a complete hedonistic material approach toward anything that is considered sacred, or spiritual.
And yet, our Bible is clear; “For we know, that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin” (Rom. 7:14). What appears to be going on is an attempt to characterize the spirituality of God’s Word through a material and/or physical paradigm––a lens used to filter the spiritual meanings of God’s truth through the rational of our modern day technological terminology!! This effort, to “spin” the Bible’s description of God’s Story, is an abominable endeavor by Satan to highjack God’s Truth to further camouflage it from humanity!
And so it’s no surprise, it makes perfect sense, since the times we live in are completely different from just a mere decade ago. To orchestrate a more modern, updated perspective on the spirituality God wrote in His word is a timely work to be done by Satan and his minions. It’s a natural fit into the ego and vanity of man since this version of merging this kind of understanding, interpretation, and methodology is nothing more than a illustration of mankind making God into his own image, as opposed to God making man into His image. Historically, human kind has always had a problem with submitting to God. This is just another expression of this lack of humility, humanity suffers from! Clearly, it is illustrative of man’s trust, confidence, and his self-assurance that the creation is superior to the Creator and merits the modifications intended for what God exclusively promised. So, the partnership of man and machine (a.k.a. Artificial Intelligence) is a fitting combination.
Unfortunately, man has failed God’s expectations “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, …Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: …And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind [void of judgment], to do those things which are not convenient;” (Rom. 1:21-32).
This behavior takes on many forms, and though Paul uses homosexuality as his example, it’s just as easy to use this mindless idea of “Trans-human Christianity!” The Gospel is a spiritual message that articulates God’s explanation of how to achieve eternal life, while rendering sin of no effect. It is the life giving knowledge of the why, what, who, and how it’s accomplished. Man is without excuse because the “invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they [mankind] are without excuse” (Rom. 1:20). As far as God is concerned, it’s all in plain sight and there is no reason to doubt His existence and expectations!
The world we are living in now has become a surreal and bizarre place. The mix of facts and fantasy have become so blurred due to reality becoming surrealistic! Some of what we currently see occurring is sometimes so void of logic, that it borders on absurdity, which causes you to ask: what happened to common sense? And because so much of late is becoming incoherent and “gaslighting” has become so prominent, people are influenced into believing the grotesque, the odd and strange behaviors, or ideas, as normal. This concept of a Trans-Christian Theology is just another movement in a long list of cults that exist today; and which is seriously promoted and enhanced by the growing current A.I. technology, now in use.
However, as Christians, keep in mind what Christ said about the end times because this is for real: “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and show great signs and wonders; in as much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before” (Matt. 24:24-25). Don’t let anybody steal your crown because remember, the devil has deceived the whole world (Rev. 12:9) and you as a Christian is targeted––the devil is stalking you. So, “be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary [enemy] the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking [stalking] whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).
Commit yourself to be an overcomer until the end and you shall be rewarded (Matt. 24:13)!!
